Beary Good Time at Burlington Mall

Build-A-Bear's Mascot "Bearemy" entertains young shoppers

It can be challenging to entertain little ones during February vacation week, especially with New England's chilly temperatures, snow and ice.  Help was at hand, however, this week at the Burlington Mall, where for the first time an entire week of children's entertainment was organized. Coordinator, Julie (an intern from NorthEastern University) was on-hand to assist participating vendors and entertainers - many of whom represented stores at the mall.   Managers at Build-A-Bear Workshop signed up early to participate in the entertainment.  Their mascot "Bearemy" gave hugs and posed for photos with many youngsters ... even posing with Chick-fil-A's 'cow' mascot!  Magician, "Royal", representing Perfect Parties gathered a considerable crowd …

From Kimchi to Hello Kitty ... H-Mart has it all!

Asian style supermarket is a popular destination for shoppers and diners.

H-Mart in Burlington opened it's doors on September 25th 2009, and has been a hive of activity ever since - even requiring police detail to assist traffic on some weekends!   The Asian-style supermarket's shelves are piled high with the freshest produce and products fit for any Korean, Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese recipe ... and also carries western foods ... making it a one-stop-shop for many of its customers. Storytime at Burlington Public Library

The show must go on ... despite the weather!

Welcome to Viewfinder, Burlington  Patch's new weekly image gallery where we hit the streets to find photos that showcase the city. This week, photographer Sue Bruce ventured out after midnight in between Tuesday's and Wednesday's storms. On Tuesday mornings, Burlington's Public Library is usually abuzz with excitement as eager little-ones wait to hear "Library Mary" bring stories to life in the Fogelberg room.  Even with the atrocious weather this morning, one Billerica Mom and son simply couldn't miss this mornings' tall tale ("Yummy" by Lucy Cousins).  As the only participant, 4 year old Aniq had a wonderfully personalized Storytime! Staff at the library noted it was considerably quieter than normal, and some staff were having problems …
