The Book Corner: News From the Burlington Public Library

The Burlington Public Library has a wide variety of upcoming programs and events.

The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and accounts of past events residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what has happened, is currently happening and what is coming soon. Library Hours The Library will be closed for the morning of Friday, June 15 for staff development. We will open to the public at 1:00 p.m.. Summer hours The Library will be closed  on Sundays for the summer.  This schedule will beginning Sunday, June 17 and end after the Labor Day weekend.  Saturday hours will be 10:00 a.m.until 2:00 p.m. from June 23 until September 8.  Our weekday hours do remain the same with Monday through Thursday hours of 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday hours of 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. …

The Burlington Public Library has a wide variety of upcoming programs and events.

The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and ongoing programs residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what is currently happening and coming soon. Youth Department:  The Youth Services Department is pleased to report that we’ve had a wonderfully successful summer reading program, with a total of 472 children and 128 teens registered.  A total of 245 books were written by 435 children and hundreds of reading hours were logged.  Also, 128 teens read a grand total of 2,368 hours.  Congratulations to all our dedicated readers! Regular programming will resume on September 13.  Meanwhile, we invite children to get ready for the school year by checking out our Back-to-School Display, featuring titles …

Summer Reading Events for Children: Teddy Bear Picnic Wednesday, July 20,  11:00 am.  Join us for teddy bear stories, activities and games! Burlington Public Library Kicks Off its Summer Reading Program

Patch swung by the Burlington Public Library recently to learn about all their Summer Reading Program has to offer children, teens, and adults.

This summer, the Burlington Public Library will be busier than ever with the return of their Summer Reading Program. From now until mid-August, the BPL will host an absolute gaggle of events for all ages including story-times, game clubs, book talks, open mics, art galleries, and much, much more. “We've already had more people sign up this year than attended last year,” said Shelly Mastalerz, the Teen Librarian at the BPL. For children, Head of Youth Services and Children's Librarian Molly Collins has prepared a Summer Reading Game Board and Reading Log that tracks the kids involvement with the library and summer reading. All this is based around the idea of travel and multiculturalism, this summer's theme for kids - One World: Many …

The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and ongoing programs residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what is currently happening and coming soon. Library Summer Hours The Library is now following the summer schedule which is: Upcoming Programs for Summer Reading The Summer Reading Kickoff is Monday, July 27, in the Youth Services Room.  We will be doing registration, crafts, face painting, and games from 10 am to 1:00 pm, with a special performance by magician Scott Jameson at 11 am.  The Teen Kickoff Party is from 3:30 to 5 pm and will be an Ice Cream Social.  Come join the fun!
