The Massachusetts State Police will be conducting a motor vehicle sobriety checkpoint Saturday, May 18 into Sunday, May 19, somewhere within Middlesex County, according to a state police press release. Police will be stopping vehicles to find potentially drunk drivers between somewhere in Middlesex County, which includes Woburn. As is normal practice, police do not disclose the hours or locations of the checkpoints. Suspect reportedly left vehicle in mall parking lot.
The Mass State Police were pursuing a suspect on Burlington streets earlier tonight. According to scanner reports, state troopers were pursuing a suspect in an unknown incident. The suspect reportedly drove into the Burlington Mall parking lot shortly after 7 p.m. Police believe the suspect may have exited the vehicle and got into a different car, reportedly a Blue Tahoe, which then fled the mall parking lot. Reports stated that police did have the suspect’s original vehicle in the mall lot and were investigating. Stay with Burlington Patch for more details when they become available.
