Patch Snap: Wish Tree at the Burlington Mall

Help a child in need have a happy holiday by donating a gift.

Welcome to another edition of Patch Snap, where we highlight a picture or pictures of around Burlington or of Burlington residents out and about. Today's Patch Snap comes from Janet Sullivan Fitzgerald, who states: Pictured above is Paul and Jane Raymond, Burlington Residents who represent the United Church of Christ Congregational.  Paul and Jane have opened the Wish Tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving for many years!  The Wish Tree will be at the Burlington Mall through Dec. 12 and provides gifts to over 200 children in the Town of Burlington.  Please consider taking a wish and making a child in the Town of Burlington happy during the Holidays! Burlington Black Friday Shopping Guide

Many stores are opening early for the unofficially kick-off of the holiday shopping season.

Black Friday is the time to get a jump on holiday shopping. Stores open early and offer big deals on popular items. It lends a literal meaning to the expression "shop till you drop." Get a Picture of Your Pet with Santa this Sunday

The Burlington Mall is holding a Pet Pictures with Santa event tomorrow evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The following is a release from the Burlington Mall: The four-legged members of the family are invited to join the holiday fun at Burlington Mall and have their own turn on Santa’s lap Sundays in November and December. This is the purrr-fect chance to capture a moment of your furry friend celebrating Christmas cheer. This special, pet-friendly opportunity is in addition to Santa’s regular hours All dates are on Sundays: November- 11 & 18- 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. November 25- 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. December- 2 & 9- 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. Pictures will take place in the Center Court on the first level of the mall.

Burlington Mall Opening Very Early on Black Friday

The holiday shopping season will kick-off with a 12:30 a.m. opening.

Simon Malls, which owns the Burlington Mall, is giving dedicated holiday shoppers a chance to get a very early morning jump on their Christmas lists. Many of Simon Malls, including the Burlington Mall, will open at 12:30 a.m on Friday, Nov. 23, or Black Friday, according to Boston.com. Other Simon Malls that will open at 12:30 a.m. include the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, the Liberty Mall in Danvers, the Arsenal Mall in Watertown, the Northshore Mall in Peabody and the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. The Mall at Chestnut Hill and the Copley Place Mall will open at 9 a.m. We want to know. Santa Visiting Burlington Mall This Saturday

Come on by for a day of crafts and fun with Santa Clause and bring a toy for People Helping People.

Want to meet Santa Clause? The jolly old elf will be at the Burlington Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 10, for a special event. Children are invited to celebrate the holiday season with holiday themed arts and crafts including: A coloring station, letters to Santa, cookie decorating, reindeer food making and more. There will also be a sampling of Hood Eggnog. Children are asked to bring one unwrapped toy for People Helping People's annual Wish Tree that benefits families in need.

Red Mango Frozen Yogurt Coming to Burlington

The popular frozen yogurt establishment set to open in the Burlington Mall next spring.

Police Release Suspect Description in Burlington Mall Bank Robbery

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and tennis shoes.

The Burlington Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in this afternoon's robbery at Bank of America in the Burlington Mall. According to police, at approximately 4:40 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 18, the Burlington Police Department received a phone call indicating that a robbery just occurred at the Bank of America in the Burlington Mall.  The Burlington Police Department responded along with the Massachusetts State Police and police departments from surrounding cities and towns  The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and tennis shoes, police stated in a release.  The suspect fled after demanding money from the bank teller.  No weapon was involved…

Burlington Police say a bank at the Burlington Mall was robbed at around 5 p.m.

UPDATED 6:09 p.m.: Burlington Patch editor Richar Hosford is on-scene at the bank robbery at Burlington Mall, where he says police are speaking now with bank managers. Hosford says the scene is calm. UPDATED with information from the Burlington Police Department Twitter feed 5:30 p.m.: Police just tweeted that a bank robbery occurred at around 5 p.m. at the Burlington Mall.
