A look at scenes caught by camera this year on Burlington Patch.
Here at Burlington Patch we know the value of a good picture. A story can lend details but an image can capture a moment and share more than words ever could. As we gear up for 2012 we continue our coverage of Burlington Patch's Year in Review today with a look at 15 pictures that tell a story from 2011. Each picture has a new caption to explain what is happening. Enjoy!

A year ago today, we all dug out of a foot of snow. Remember?
Last year at this time, folks all over the region were digging themselves out after a major snowstorm buried the East Coast Dec. 26-27, with winds reaching up to 95 mph and snowfall up to 24" in some areas. The blizzard was the first of several major storms to sweep through last winter, and dropped snow from northern Florida to Canada. Do you remember where you were during the blizzard last December? Share your memories of last year's day-after-Christmas storm in the comment section below. Take a look at these photos of the aftermath of last year's storm and some pictures of subsequent snowstorms last January.
A look back at this year's news in motion.
We at Burlington Patch love to bring you video news. Written stories and photo galleries are great, but video truly gives a glimpse into what people are doing and saying. As we wrap up 2011, we thought it would be fun to look back on the top stories presented in video form this past year. Check out the gallery of videos. Each video includes a description to help you remember what we were covering. Enjoy! And if you have any ideas for a news story that would make a good video email your suggestions to Richard.Hosford@Patch.com.

It’s been a busy year in Burlington, and every time news came to the forefront, Burlington Patch was there. We have decided to compile 10 of the top headlines from the past year in honor of a year of reporting in Burlington. So here’s a look at the last year, and as always we want to hear from you.
