The following is a release: Are you a stay at home Mom or Dad or perhaps recently retired and looking to make a contribution to the community of Burlington. The Burlington Community Food Pantry is looking for some specific roles to fill that will not take up much of your time! Delivery Person – Delivery groceries to pantry clients at their homes. You must be able to lift heavy bags of groceries and walk up steps. This need is one Wednesday a month from 12 – 1 p.m. Helpers to Carry Food to Car You will be responsible to push carts out to the client’s cars and help load…

The following is a release from the Burlington Conservation Commission: Are you tired of tires? We are too. That is why the Friends of the Landlocked Forest, Burlington Conservation, and the Greater Boston Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association have teamed up to hold a good, old-fashioned, tire clean-up. For many years, tires were carelessly dumped in and around the wetlands at the Landlocked Forest. This unsightly trash is also potentially hazardous to the environment, as chemicals leach from the tires and into the water. It is time to do something about it and your help is needed in getting the tires out of the forest. Bring your boots. Bring your work gloves.
