Millions of sports enthusiasts around the world and in Burlington watched Super Bowl 47 on Sunday. Likely, many tuned in just to watch Super Bowl commercials, just like they do every year. In addition to Ms. Patrick and Mr. Fogle, celebrities and pseudo-celebs on the ad roster will include Willem Dafoe, Amy Poehler, Bar …

And today, as the Monday morning quarterbacks out there rehash Tom Brady’s imperfections, plenty of casual fans around coffee shops and water coolers will be dissecting the commercials, as well. While the immediate reaction was that this year’s ads collectively didn’t stack up against some storied lineups from the past, a few have been garnering positive reviews across the interwebs. I did not like the Coca Cola ad. Not because of any racism, but because it was just plain stupid and hard to understand. I see no reason for ads to be hard to figure out what is going on until the very end. Most of the ads were that same way. And that "kissy" one was the worst ! I still don't know the sponsor, because I flip the station every time I see it. The juicy, smacking noise, yuk ! My …   more ›
