An April Fool's Day Prank From State Rep. Gordon

If you saw headlines on April 1 indicating 21st Middlesex District State Representative resident Ken Gordon was running for U.S. Senate (like we did), the joke is on you.

  21st Middlesex District State Representative Ken Gordon got into the April Fool's Day spirit with a spoof blog post announcing his intention to run as a write-in candidate in the upcoming U.S. Senate special election. Monday morning, Gordon tweeted "Ken announces run for U.S. Senate and more from Beacon Hill," from his twitter account along with a link to the blog post mentioned above.  From the blog post:  Reminded that a state-wide election covers an area that is far greater than a race for state representative, Gordon appeared confused. The following is a letter to the editor: I support Ken Gordon and ask you to join with me to elect him as our next State Representative in the Legislative Branch of Massachusetts. Ken’s legal training and experience uniquely qualifies him to be a leader as the Legislature crafts new statutes and makes necessary amendments to the General Laws of Massachusetts. David Fionda, CPA and Entrepreneur, Throwing Hat in Ring for Outgoing Murphy's Seat

David Fionda is seeking the Democratic ticket for the 21st Middlesex District.

Burlington resident David Fionda announced this week that he will be seeking the 21st Middlesex District State Representative seat being left vacant by outgoing State Rep. Charles Murphy. He will be running as a Democrat. The 21st District includes the towns of Burlington, Bedford and precinct 3, of the town of Wilmington. Murphy announced last week that he will not seek re-election and will instead take a position in the private sector. Fionda is a Woburn native and 24-year Burlington resident with history of community service. He is also an entrepreneur and a Certified Public Accountant.
