Red Devils Ready for Final Regular Season Week

There are just two games on the docket for Burlington this week, which is the final week of the regular season.

It's a slow week for Burlington sports. But for the Red Devils, it's the calm before the storm. This week is the final one of the regular season, with the postseason kicking off next week for multiple BHS teams. On Monday, the girls hockey team hosts Masconomet at 8:15 p.m., looking to improve up its postseason position. The team, led by veteran players like Sarah Walsh, clinched a playoff berth for the first time in program history. The only other game this week is played by the boys basketball team. The Red Devils, who are also postseason bound, travel to face New Bedford at 7 p.m. on Thursday. In their last game, the Red Devils escaped with an overtime victory over Wilmington. Red Devils Winding Down Regular Season Slate

Two weeks remain for Burlington teams as the postseason rapidly approaches.

Crunch time is officially arriving for Burlington's winter sports teams. Just two weeks remain in the regular season, with several teams hoping to finish strong before heading to the postseason. On Monday, the basketball teams hope to improve their playoff seedings with tilts against Wakefield. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. with the first place Lady Red Devils on the road and the boys team playing at home. There's not much of a break for the basketball teams, as they get right back to work on Tuesday. The girls team hosts Watertown while the boys team travels to face the same opponent.
