Police Searching for Suspect Who Pulled Knife on Macy's Security

Do you recognize the man in the photo above? Burlington Police are looking for him in connection to a reported knife incident at Macy's.

Burlington Police are searching for the man pictured in the surveillance image above in connection to a shoplifting turned armed robbery at Macy's this evening. Officer Mark Driscoll told Burlington Patch that at about 5:28 p.m. police received notice from Macy's that an alleged shoplifter pulled a knife on loss prevention officers as they tried to detain him. The suspect is pictured above. He is a white male with short hair wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and what appears to be blue jeans. He was also carrying a black jacket. Driscoll said the suspect allegedly tried to shoplift a shirt and four pairs of boxers. When Macy's loss prevention attempted to apprehend him he pulled a knife and ran out of the story. Police: Missing Woman Found Half-Mile from Assisted Living Facility

The Burlington Police Department has issued an update on this morning's search for a missing woman.

The Burlington Police Department has issued a statement updating the public on this morning's succesful search for a 70-year-old woman with mild dimensia who was reported missing from the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility. According to police, on January 11, 2013 at 5:32 a.m. the Burlington Police Department received a telephone call from the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility located at 24 Mall Road regarding a missing elderly woman. Initial reports stated that the 70 year old female suffered from mild dementia and had last been seen at 5 a.m. Burlington Police Officers responded to the assisted living facility and began a search of the building and the area surrounding the facility, the release continues. UPDATED 7:44 a.m.: Early Morning Search for Missing Sunrise Assisted Living Resident

Burlington Police, K9 and others in the area searching for resident last seen at 4 a.m.

  Searchers are looking for a resident missing from Sunrise Assisted Living on Mall Road. Burlington Police tweeted that the resident is a 70-year old woman, believed to have dementia. The tweet also said she is 'fast-moving.' Initial reports came in just after 6 a.m. Friday morning, but it's reported that staffers have not seen the resident since 4 a.m. Burlington Police have all available units on scene to assist and stage the front of the building. Woburn Police is going to help. K9 teams are also on scene assisting with the search, and according to reports, assistance from Billerica's bloodhound has been requested.
