Patch Snap is an occasional post that features pictures from around Burlington or Burlington residents out and about.
Welcome to another edition of Patch Snap, where we highlight a picture or pictures of around Burlington or of Burlington residents out and about. Today's Patch Snap comes from Council on Aging Director Marge McDonald, who states: "Santa visited the senior center last week thanks to the Burlington Mall. It was part of an afternoon with ice cream and the Singing Trooper who sang Santa into the room with Santa Claus is Coming to Town. WGBH, Steve Wasserman and Barb Davis from Edward Jones also helped make the afternoon magical for those in attendance." Do you have a picture that would make a great Patch Snap? Email it with a brief description to Richard.Hosford@Patch.com.

We're looking to make a gallery featuring area kids' letters to the guy in the big red suit.
With Christmas approaching, many good boys and girls will sit down with pencil or crayon in hand to write out their wish list to Santa. These letters are always cute, sometimes funny, and we'd like to compile them into a photo gallery of our readers' children's missives to the big man in the red suit. So before your children send their letters to the North Pole, take a picture of the note with your digital camera or smartphone and upload it to this story by hitting the "Upload Photos and Videos" button under the pictures. A caption would be nice, too. Once we get a good amount of letters we will feature them in a gallery on the homepage. So, what do the kids want for Christmas?

Did you attend the Tree Lighting? Share your pictures with the community by adding them to this story.
Hundreds of residents came out to the Town Commons this past Saturday to celebrate Burlington's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event, put on by the Burlington Recreation Department, featured carolers, dancers and a variety of other entertainment. Right before the lighting the crowd enthusiastically welcomed Santa Clause, his elves and a special visit from Frosty the Snowman. Santa himself led the count-down to the tree lighting. With the crowd cheering enthusiastically Santa reached "zero" and the Commons lit up with trees decorated in holiday lights. Check out our images of the tree lighting ceremony. Have your own pictures of the event? Add them to the story by clicking the "Upload Photos" button below the image gallery.

Keep tabs on the Jolly Old Elf this Christmas Eve as he makes his way to the home of all the good boys and girls.
The following is from Burlington's Office of Veteran Affairs on the NORAD Santa Tracker. Burlington Patch will team up with the office and on Christmas Eve post the NORAD Map on Santa's location on our site: The Burlington Office of Veterans Services wants to remind all Burlington children, and their parents, that you can track Santa’s travels on Christmas Eve by logging on to http://www.noradsanta.org or here on Burlington Patch.
