Today's Patch Snap comes from Council on Aging Director Marge McDonald, who states: "Santa visited the senior center last week thanks to the Burlington Mall. It was part of an afternoon with ice cream and the Singing Trooper who sang Santa into the room with Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Come down to the BCAT TV studio from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a chance to meet Santa and have a picture taken.
Burlington Cable Access Television is welcoming a very special guest tonight. BCAT is inviting all of Burlington's good boys and girls to come and meet Santa Clause and his lovely wife, Mrs. Clause, in the studio from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. this evening. BCAT is located in the rear of Burlington High School. During the event children will have the chance to meet Jolly Ol’ St. Nick in person on live cable. "Kids bring your Christmas list and parents bring your cameras!" a release on BCAT's website exclaims. The event is free. Also, according to BCAT, Parents should be sure to set their recorders at home, as the children will meet Santa live on television, as well as bring their cameras. We're looking to make a gallery featuring area kids' letters to the guy in the big red suit.
With Christmas approaching, many good boys and girls will sit down with pencil or crayon in hand to write out their wish list to Santa. These letters are always cute, sometimes funny, and we'd like to compile them into a photo gallery of our readers' children's missives to the big man in the red suit. So before your children send their letters to the North Pole, take a picture of the note with your digital camera or smartphone and upload it to this story by hitting the "Upload Photos and Videos" button under the pictures. A caption would be nice, too. Once we get a good amount of letters we will feature them in a gallery on the homepage. So, what do the kids want for Christmas?

Did you attend the Tree Lighting? Share your pictures with the community by adding them to this story.
Hundreds of residents came out to the Town Commons this past Saturday to celebrate Burlington's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event, put on by the Burlington Recreation Department, featured carolers, dancers and a variety of other entertainment. Right before the lighting the crowd enthusiastically welcomed Santa Clause, his elves and a special visit from Frosty the Snowman. Santa himself led the count-down to the tree lighting. With the crowd cheering enthusiastically Santa reached "zero" and the Commons lit up with trees decorated in holiday lights. Check out our images of the tree lighting ceremony. The Burlington Mall is holding a Pet Pictures with Santa event tomorrow evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The following is a release from the Burlington Mall: The four-legged members of the family are invited to join the holiday fun at Burlington Mall and have their own turn on Santa’s lap Sundays in November and December. This is the purrr-fect chance to capture a moment of your furry friend celebrating Christmas cheer. This special, pet-friendly opportunity is in addition to Santa’s regular hours All dates are on Sundays: November- 11 & 18- 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. November 25- 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. December- 2 & 9- 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. Pictures will take place in the Center Court on the first level of the mall.

Santa Clause has returned to the Burlington Mall for holiday pictures.
Just in time for Holiday pictures, The Burlington Mall welcomes back the jolly old elf, Santa! He will meet, greet and pose for photos with children in his Topiary Garden near Guest Services throughout the holiday season.
