There are scanner reports that the Brookline Bank on Mall Road has been robbed.
UPDATED, 11:44 a.m.: Wilmington Police have responded and a K-9 unit is searching the area, according to Burlington Patch Editor Richard Hosford. ------------------------- There are reports of a robbery of the Brookline Bank at 72 Mall Road. According to scanner traffic and tweets from Mike Moura and Alertnewengland, locals who follow police and fire scanners, a suspect described as a white male with a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and sunglasses fled the bank towards the Burlington Mall. Police are searching for two male suspects who allegedly stole a computer from Best Buy this past Saturday. According to Massmostwanted.org, Burlington Police are looking for the two men pictured above in connection with a robbery of an Apple Computer valued at $2,200. According to the report, on Saturday, Dec. 1, the two suspects entered the Best Buy and split up. While one suspect distracted an employee the other stole the computer. The clear shot above is of the suspect police believed stole the computer. There is not a clear shot of the second suspect, but it can be clearly see that he is wearing a BDU style baseball hat with black block letters USAF. Burlington Police responded to a bank robbery on Middlesex Turnpike that led to the suspect being arrested in Chelmsford after a chase. Police are looking for a Hispanic male who stole a watch from Macy's last week.
Police are investigating a robbery of a watch at Macy's last week that had the suspect shoving loss prevention officers in his flight from the store. According to Massmostwanted.org, at about 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 a man entered Macy's in the Burlington Mall and grabbed a $30 watch off the shelf. According to the report, when the man was confronted by loss prevention he initially began to comply. However, after changing his mind, he shoved aside the loss prevention officers and fled for the door. Burlington police are looking for a suspect after the Burlington Islamic Center was robbed for the fourth time since December of last year. According to the Boston Herald, in the latest robbery this past Saturday the thief not only stole from the donation boxes, as in the past, but also dragged out a 200-pound safe with thousands of dollars. The Herald also reports that in a previous robbery the thief used a Quran to break open a donation box. Police say the thief was caught on surveillance camera each time the Islamic Center was robbed. Burlington Police Confirmed that the Dunkin Donuts at 69 Middlesex Turnpike was armed by a suspect showing a gun.
The Burlington Police Department confired this evening that there was an armed robbery at the Dunkin Donuts on the corner Middlesex Turnpike and Wheeler Road. According to police at approximately 7:50 p.m. an armed suspect entered the store wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a distinctive pattern of gray graphic or lettering on each sleeve from the elbow down to the wrist. I applied to the Burlington police for a permit to carry for my umbrella. Got turned down. They said umbrella are too dangerous for the average citizen. They are setting up an Umbrella Tactical Squad, with their own cruisers and big bus command centers. The squad will be outfitted with shields and silly string guns.
