Planning Board Favorable on Landlocked Forest Zoning Change

Board members voted 6-0 to recommend favorable to Town Meeting the zoning change from general industrial to open space.

The members of the Planning Board agreed with Friends of the Landlocked Forest and Town Meeting members arguing that the zoning of the Landlocked Forest should be changed from general industrial to open space. The board voted 6-0-0 to recommend to Town Meeting that members approve a warrant article on the September Town Meeting warrant on the zoning change. Member Joseph Impemba was not present for the meeting.  The vote came after a presentation by member of the Friends of the Landlocked Forest and Precinct 3 Town Meeting member Monte Pearson. Developer Eying Apartment Project on Peach Orchard Road

The project, which includes 60 garden style apartments, will be up for discussion at tonight's Planning Board meeting.

Brickpoint Properties is scheduled to be up in front of the Burlington Planning Board this evening for an Application for Approval of a Special Permit for a proposed apartment project off of Peach Orchard Road. Charles Mihok, project manager with Brickpoint Properties, the company behind the project, told Patch the proposed project includes 60 garden style apartments with access from a newly constructed right of way on property located off Peach Orchard Road. Mihok said that Brickpoint Properties is the majority owner of Beacon Village and that this new project would be in the same area, but off of Peach Orchard Road rather than connecting to Beacon Village directly (see map).
