Non-Parents Just Don't Understand

Becoming a parent brings unique knowledge to men and women.

Before I became a mom, I heard all the things people say about parenthood and chuckled to myself. You know, the usual: you won’t sleep / eat / have a life / leave the house.  All doom and gloom, as though welcoming a baby into your life is not the most amazing experience a couple can have.  I remained optimistic in spite of all the nay-sayers, choosing instead to focus on how much fun I’d have as a new mom. Parts of it have to be fun, right? With fifteen months under my belt, I think I’ve done an okay job of “handling” it.  What I didn’t realize about parenting is how apt a verb that truly is.  You can’t plan, schedule, dictate, or arrange how you’ll parent or what will happen to you when you become one.  All you can do is brace yourself …

Growing up in the Boston area, few family experiences compare to the excitement of going to a game at Fenway Park. Even though tickets nowadays can be costly and tough to come by, we are hoping to keep the tradition alive in our little family. It will take some planning, preparation, and modifying our mindset. Whether it’s Fenway, the Boston Garden, Gilette Stadium, or any other arena, there is always research to be done. Most arenas will have changing tables in both men’s and women’s restrooms, but usually limit them to certain areas. This info can be found on their website or by calling the customer service number.
