The former Borders site is under renovations for an incoming higher-end restaurant.
Renovations for the site of a new higher-end restaurant coming into Burlington's Wayside is coming along. As reported on Burlington Patch, Seasons 52 is taking over the former Borders location at Wayside at 6 Wayside Road. This will be the first location of the restaurant in Massachusetts. Hunter Robinson of Seasons 52 told Burlington Patch that the restaurant is slated to open in this summer. Patch will provide updated information when an exact grand opening date is set. The Burlington location will feature a warm, welcoming ambiance centered on a casual, but sophisticated dining room with rich mahogany accents, a custom-built wine cellar, and three private dining rooms, according to a release from Seasons 52. Gigi's Roast Beef and Pizza set to open next week.
A new restaurant will soon be opened in the old Pizzeria Villafranca location at 5 Center Street. The new restaurant will be Gigi's Roast Beef and Pizza and according to the owner it should be set and ready to open by late next week. Currently the place is undergoing some renovations and cleaning before the grand opening. Owner Bedros Kaya, of Waltham, said the pizza shop will be a family run business with a focus on customer service. This will be Kaya's third restaurant. "Our main focus will be on customer service," he said. "We want to treat people fairly and serve the best food we can. I want this to be a friendly atmosphere." New restaurant scheduled to open in spring 2012
Burlington may soon boast a new restaurant at the corner of Mall Road and New England Executive Park. Tavern in the Square, a small, locally owned chain is planning to open its sixth restaurant, this one in Burlington, in the spring of 2012. The company has received a liquor license, according to Selectmen Daniel DiTucci. The plan was also approved by the Planning Board on Sept. 15. Tavern in the Square intends to build a 5,000 square foot addition to the space as well as an outdoor patio seating area. In total, the restaurant will accommodate up to 300 guests and will include a small function room which will hold 30-50 guests.
