A letter from Town Clerk Amy Warfield.
The following is a letter to the editor from Burlington Town Clerk Amy Warfield: Having successfully completed another election I want to take a moment to thank all of those who help to make it that way. I’d like to especially thank the Burlington Police Department, DPW Highway Department, Recreation Maintenance, School Department and BHS custodians for their assistance in preparing the polls, grounds, and traffic control. Our Post Office was also a great help in assuring absentee ballots were efficiently delivered. I’d also like to thank the dedicated, enthusiastic, and competent poll workers for assisting voters through the process. The following is a letter from Burlington selectman and 21st Middlesex District House Seat candidate Walter Zenkin: I am running for state rep to bring integrity and common sense to Beacon Hill. For too long the needs of hardworking people in Burlington, Bedford and Wilmington have been ignored. We must firmly reject the culture of corruption that exists on Beacon Hill and repudiate practices that favor the politically-connected few. As a two-term selectman in Burlington, I’ve demonstrated a commonsense approach that I plan to bring to the state house. I understand the delicate balance of financing public services without punishing the taxpayer or stifling the local businesses providing our residents with jobs. It can be a tightrope act …

Voting will take place in the Burlington High School
It's time for the Primary vote. The Massachusetts Presidential Primary is today and Burlington voters can weigh in on party elections. This year there is a hotly conteded GOP race, which has come down to Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. There are also local primary elections for voters registered for a party can weigh in on (see ballot at right). In Burlington, voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Burlington High School. Volunteers at the school will help voters find their correct precinct and party ballot. Voters can also determine their precinct, which may have changed recently, by visiting this special section on the Town's web site. Happy voting!
