The Burlington-based group, Help Me Help Someone, a non-profit dedicated to helping those that have fallen on hard times, is putting together a book compiling stories from all over the world of how people have overcome strive through the message of hope.
They came from Africa, from Chicago, from Soviet Georgia, East St. Louis, or they lived across the street. They came to Joyce Deliyiannis' chair at Delleria Salon and Spa in the Burlington Mall. Joyce has given away over 2,000 free haircuts to folks who have been down on their luck. What came out of this initial gesture of kindness has blossomed into the recently accredited non-profit, Help Me Help Someone, a group dedicated to connecting those in need with those that can help.
