  Governor Deval Patrick’s Milton residence is on the market. The 6,880-square-foot colonial at 75 Hinckley Road is currently listed for $1,500,000. The home, which is located in the Columbines section of Milton, has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The real estate listing for the 1923 colonial is available here. Patrick, who is currently serving his second four-year term as Massachusetts Governor, has said he will not seek reelection in 2014.

Governor Launches Electronic Medical Records System

Developers say information exchange will lower health care costs and increase patient safety.

Gov. Deval Patrick last week launched the state's electronic health transmission record by being the first to send his own medical records from Massachusetts General Hospital to Baystate Health in Springfield.  The new Massachusetts Health Information Exchange (HIE) allows electronic information to be securely electronically transmitted between health care providers –  regardless of provider affiliation, location, or differences in technology – so that they can coordinate care, lower costs and ensure greater patient safety and lower health care costs, according to the governor's office.    “In Massachusetts we believe that access to affordable, quality health care is a public good, and launching a secure, cutting-edge health information …

  Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick came out firing Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, attacking his predecessor Mitt Romney's record in the Bay State. "Mitt Romney talkes a lot about all the things he's fixed," he said. "I can tell you that Massachusetts wasn't one of them. He's a fine fellow and a great salesman, but as governor he was more interested in having the job than doing it." VIDEO: Gov. Patrick Celebrates Burlington's IDBS's New Healthcare Center of Excellence

Gov. Deval Patrick praised the software company for making improvements in medical information sharing that will improve personalized medicine.

Gov. Deval Patrick and was in Burlington last Friday to celebrate the opening of IDBS's Healthcare Center of Excellence and participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. According to the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, the events stemmed from a meeting between UK-based IDBS, Governor Patrick, the Center and other Massachusetts officials at the BIO International Convention in Washington DC last year, and from the stronger business ties between Massachusetts and the UK built during the Governor’s Massachusetts Innovation Economy Partnership Mission to the UK. This was a busy week in Burlington and so a busy week here at Patch. In case you missed any of our stories, here are some of the highlights and links to our articles to help you catch up.
