Lahey Clinic Offering Flu Clinics as Number of Cases Spikes

Lahey Clinic will be administering flu vaccines this weekend.

Lahey Clinic is offering two flu clinics this weekend as reports of a worse-than-usual flu season emerge in the media. The Burlington Board of Health posted on its web site that has "has been informed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) that influenza numbers are on the rise." The Washington Post reported that Boston declared a public health emergency this past Wednesday after 18 flu-related deaths were reported so far. Lahey Clinic's flu clinics: Flu clinics are available at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, on Saturday, January 12, and Sunday, January 13, from 8 am to noon. Reminder: Flu Clinic in Burlington This Week

The Board of Health is holding a variety of clinics for different age groups.

The Burlington Board of Health will hold a free flu clinic at the Murray-Kelley Room, 61 Center Street, for those age 19 and older on the following date:  Residents are asked to bring their insurance card. Those ages 65 and older are asked to bring Medicare information. You will be able to receive vaccine regardless of insurance status.   To participate in the clinic, residents must come to the Board of Health office, 61 Center St., Room 203, on the Tuesday, October 11, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. or from 2 to 4 p.m. to get a ticket for an assigned time to attend the clinic. Nobody will be admitted to the clinic without a ticket.  Only 500 adult doses of flu vaccine have been purchased by the Board of Health to be dispensed to any adult with …
