VIDEO: Flatbread Keeps It Local With Pizza, Beer and Charity

Flatbread Co. Manager Joe Sylva talks about using the freshest ingredients to make their pizza, his favorite kinds of beer and how his restaurant gives back to the Bedford and surrounding community on a daily basis.

  Flatbread Company aims to serve Bedford and area towns in more ways than one, starting with focusing on making pizza with local, organic ingredients and ending with working with local charities and fundraisers to give back to the communty.  The company also holds many fundraisers for Burlington organizations. Manager Joe Sylva said it starts with the sauce, which Flatbread prepares in a way unlike any other pizza joint in the area.  "We actually cook the sauce down with an organic vegetable maraquoi with red wine, fresh herbs and organic diced tomatoes, and you cook for about four hours over a wood fire in a seasoned cast iron cauldron," Sylva said. Teen LIGHT and Flatbread Unite to Help Teens

Pizza Party at Flatbread from 5:30 to 9 p.m. tomorrow night.

The following is a release from MSMS's student group Teen LIGHT: Hundreds of 8th graders from the Marshall Simonds Middle School have made it their mission to help teens with serious illnesses such as cancer.  The students of Teen LIGHT will host a charity night at Flatbread restaurant on Tuesday, May 15.  Proceeds will benefit Camp Sunshine, Christopher’s Haven, and Dana-Farber Jimmy Fund. The “pizza party” will be from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Flatbread restaurant.  The restaurant is on 213 Burlington Road in Bedford across from Mitre field.  Flatbread will donate $1.75 for each small pizza sold and $3.50 for each large pizza.  Pizza sales include dine-in, take-out, and a new drive-up option.  The evening will include a 50 – 50 raffle, T…

Buy a Pizza: Help People Helping People, Burlington Food Pantry

Come down to Flatbread Pizza, 213 Burlington Road in Bedford, and have a portion of your order benefit the Burlington Food Pantry.

The following is a release from People Helping People, Inc. and the Burlington Food Pantry: The Flatbread Company, 213 Burlington Road in Bedford, will make a generous donation to Burlington’s People Helping People for every pizza they sell (including take-out orders) today from 5 to 9 p.m. In addition, People Helping People will host a bake sale on site throughout the evening. Take a break from cooking and help those less fortunate by dining at The Flatbread Company on January 24. Burlington’s People Helping People is a non-profit, primarily volunteer-driven emergency assistance organization comprised of the Burlington Food Pantry, the Covenant for Basic Needs and the Holiday Wish Tree. The Food Pantry alone serves over 130 needy families…
