Friday, Oct. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 30 The Friends of the library Fall book sale is this weekend!  Purchase books at bargain pricing and support the Friends and the Library! The hours of the sale are as follows: Friday, Oct. 28: 12:00 to 5:30 p.m. Children who wear a Halloween costume receive a FREE children's book and a treat! Library Hours The library will be closed Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4 in celebration of Independence Day. Summer Reading Events for Children Singing With Samantha! - Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00.  Join Samantha for a morning of performance and sing-along songs designed especially for children ages 3-8. Improv 4 Kids -  Thursday, July 7 at 10:15. Join Mary for a lively round of theatre games, using props, music, and your imaginations. The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and ongoing programs residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what is currently happening and coming soon. Library Summer Hours The Library is now following the summer schedule which is: Upcoming Programs for Summer Reading The Summer Reading Kickoff is Monday, July 27, in the Youth Services Room.  We will be doing registration, crafts, face painting, and games from 10 am to 1:00 pm, with a special performance by magician Scott Jameson at 11 am.  The Teen Kickoff Party is from 3:30 to 5 pm and will be an Ice Cream Social.  Come join the fun! Library Summer Hours Beginning Saturday, June 18 the library will follow the summer schedule which is as follows: Evergreen Library System The switch to the new Evergreen library system by the Burlington Public Library and all members of Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) occurred a few weeks ago.  As in the case of most changes of this magnitude, there were a number of issues that arose.  The Burlington Public Library staff has done an awesome job of identifying issues and sharing with the MVLC staff.  The MVLC staff has also been working to…

The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and ongoing programs residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what is currently happening and coming soon. Evergreen Library System is Here After much preparation and training, the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) has completed the migration to the Evergreen Library System. Burlington Public Library (and all MVLC libraries) began using this new system on Tuesday, May 31 after the long weekend. Like any transition, there were a few bumps, but over all, it went pretty well.  There are a few issues that the MVLC staff is still working on, but we see results every day.  This is one of the reasons that an open source product was chosen – the MVLC …
