Emergency Parking Ban Declared in Burlington During Storm

Superintendent of Public Works John Sanchez is also advising residents to stay off the streets during the storm and clean-up.

Do not park on the street tomorrow or Saturday. Superintendent of Public Works John Sanchez informed Patch today that the town has declared an Emergency Parking Ban in anticipation of the big snow storm expected tomorrow. The parking ban begins at noon tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 8 and will continue through 6 p.m. on Saturday. The ban limits any vehicle from parking on the side of any Burlington roads. Violators could be towed.  "This gives us room to plow," Sanchez explained. "We don't need cars in the street." Sanchez also advised residents to stay home during the snow and subsequent clean-up to give the DPW room to clear the streets.  "Unless you really need to get out, stay home," he said.
