Burlington Education Foundation Increasing Quality of Education One Road Race at a Time
Non-profit group provides grants to Burlington educators
Seven years ago, a group of Burlington mothers sat down to discuss how they could help teachers and administrators improve the quality of the Burlington School system. The result was the implementation of the Burlington Education Foundation (BEF), a non-profit agency whose goal is to promote community support for educational excellence in the Burlington Public Schools. “We were aware that other towns had successful education foundations in place; essentially BEF is a copy of those models,” said BEF Founder Anne Tracy.
