Get Set for School and Help Kids in Need at the Burlington Mall This Tax-Free Weekend

Cradles to Crayons will be collecting donations at the mall for kids in need.

The following is a release by the Burlington Mall: The Burlington Mall is helping families get in gear for back-to-school at Back At It this Saturday, August 11 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.  Back At It is a weekend dedicated to back-to-school as shoppers will enjoy retailer deals all weekend long and school fun events during the day on Saturday and throughout Tax Free Weekend. In conjunction with this year’s Back At It, Simon Malls and Burlington Mall are in partnership with Cradles to Crayons, which will kickoff its donation program "Ready for School" by collecting what a child needs for a new school year beginning Aug.  10 and running though Sept. 15.       Families and kids of all ages are invited to get back to their fall routine in style …

Patch Snap: MSMS Girl Scouts Collecting Clothes for Children in Need

Welcome to another edition of Patch Snap, where we highlight a picture or pictures of around Burlington or of Burlington residents out and about. Today's Patch Snap comes from the MSMS Girl Scout Troop 77245. This month members of the Marshall Simonds Middle School Girl Scout Troop 77245 are collecting new and gently used pants for sizes newborn to 18/20 from March 1st to 31st at each elementary and middle school lobby.   The effort is to benefit Cradles to Crayons, an organization that will distribute the pants to local children in need. Pictured here are a few of the troop members. From left, Elizabeth Abrevaya, Christina Purvis, Molly Anthony, Crystal Curran, Sarah Plummer and Emily Kiehl.
