Burlington High School's girls basketball team returned to the postseason this year, and the team's head coach expects more in the upcoming years.

The third year head coach led the Red Devils to the postseason where they earned a first round win and hung with unbeaten Reading in the quarterfinal round before they were eliminated. Burlington High School boys basketball head coach Tom Lyons has been on the sidelines for 15 years.
The following questions were answered by Burlington High School boys basketball coach Tom Lyons, in his 15th years with the Red Devils. This season, he led the team to an 11-9 record and the No. 12 seed in the North Division 2 tournament. Unfortantely for the Red Devils, they fell in their opening tilt on Tuesday night as they lost to Brighton on a shot at the buzzer. What was the key to the team’s success this year? The past couple years has at times in games, it was more ‘me’ while this team is ‘we.’ The seniors came up to me and I said ‘Coach I don’t care what it takes, I just want to win.’ Each one of them says it doesn’t matter who scores, who gets the credit. Girls hockey head coach Marty Conley has the Red Devils poised for their first ever postseason appearance.
The following questions were answered by Marty Conley, the head coach of the Burlington girls hockey team that recently clinched a postseason berth for the first time in program history. What has been the key to the team's success this year, making the postseason for the first time ever? Some of that experience that we gained last year when were still really young helped. Having the year of varisty was helpful for the big group of eighth graders we had. It’s essentially the same team this year, and that extra year has been huge. It’s a much different level going from girls youth hockey to varisty. The other part is the girls confidence growing in themselves and each other as the season has gone along.
