Veterans Day is Sunday and to mark the occassion, Acton Patch invites you to share photos of Burlington servicemen and women so the whole town can honor those who serve our nation. Add photos to this gallery of your loved ones, friends and family members who served and currently serve in the Armed Forces. Just click the green "Submit Your Photos" button above the photos or at the bottom of this article to add yours, along with a caption. Names to be added to a new plaque in new Memorial School this September.
The following is a release from Burlington's Office of Veteran Services: The Burlington Office of Veterans Services is looking for contact information on the surviving family members of the 25 men from Burlington who died while serving in the United States Military, so they can be invited to an unveiling of plaques in their loved ones honor. The original Memorial School had a plaque that was dedicated in May 1955, honoring young men from Burlington who served in the United States Military and made the Supreme Sacrifice. There will be a special tribute during the dedication and opening of the new Memorial School here in Burlington as we will take note of the 25 men who died in battle, serving this country since World War – 1, when Kenneth …
