The following is a letter to the editor from Burlington Boy Scout Troop 511 On behalf of the members of Burlington Boy Scout Troop 511, we wish to publicly thank all those who helped to make our hot dog and hamburger stand during Truck Day successful. The proceeds of the sales during this event are a significant portion of our yearly income. We also specifically wish to thank former Selectman Al Fay, without whom this event would not exist and whose efforts to raise help and donations make Truck Day so successful. It is community support like this that allows Troop 511 to exist as a resource to our youth. Sincerely, Kevin McGrath- Senior Patrol Leader Paul Kimball - Committee Chair Gerald Beuchelt - Scoutmaster

Were you at Burlington's Truck Day yesterday? Add you pictures to our gallery!
Hundreds of people came out to the Burlington Town Commons yesterday to see the field filled with big rigs, fire engines, tractors, police cruisers and other large vehicles. It was the 15th Annual Municipal Truck Day in Burlington. People came from all around to the town commons to not only see the trucks, but to blow the horn, sit in the driver’s seat, and look the truck all over. Many took advantage and children and adults alike could be seen climbing into and onto the big rigs and checking out the giant tires and impressive engines of the large trucks. Check out our images from Truck Day 2012 above. Also, if you were there and have pictures of your own, feel free to post them by clicking the Upload Photos button under the image gallery.
