Car Fire Closes Part of Route 128
Massachusetts State Police called to the scene.
A car fire on Route 128 has closed all but one lane of the northbound side of the road just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, though police say no injuries are reported. At about 2:10 p.m., the Massacusetts State Police Media Relations Office issued a release saying police and fire units were dispatched to Route 128 near the Burlington Mall to deal with the incident. As of that point, police said the fire was nearly contained, though the left lane was the only part of the road open to traffic.
