Burlington High School boys basketball head coach Tom Lyons has been on the sidelines for 15 years.
The following questions were answered by Burlington High School boys basketball coach Tom Lyons, in his 15th years with the Red Devils. Burlington junior Shane Farley torched Wilmington for a school record 50 points last week.

"The biggest thing is that usually when you get someone who scores that many points, it’s not a close game. We needed every one of Shane’s points to win that game.” As strong as Farley was from the floor, he was even better from the free throw line. He stuck 22 of his 25 attempts from the charity stripe as a part of his monster …

Boys basketball nearly loses double digit lead, hangs on for 64-63 win.
Tom Lyons coined the finish of Friday night's road tilt against Wilmington a chaotic nightmare. Regardless, the Burlington boys basketball team called it a win. Burlington opted to foul before Wilmington senior guard Tim McCarthy could get a shot off, but McCarthy felt the contact coming and lofted a shot from halfcourt, hoping the Red Devils would be whistled in the act of shooting. But instead of giving McCarthy the chance to tie the game, referees ruled the foul on the floor. Though the Wildcats managed a desparation three and mustered a meaningless …
