Pandolfo, Bruins a Part of Memorable Night at TD Garden

On Wednesday night, Boston Bruins and their fans helped begin the healing process in the wake of Monday's Boston Marathon bombings as they showed support for victims.

The Boston Bruins were a part of a moving and memorable tribute to the victims of Monday's Boston Marathon bombings prior to the start of Wednesday's game. Among the black and gold who felt compelled to help the city begin to heal was Jay Pandolfo, a Burlington High School graduate. Prior to the start of the contest at TD Garden, the Bruins played a video tribute and projected "Boston Strong" ribbons onto the ice surface as the lights in the building remained dark. When Rene Rancourt, famous for his regular renditions of the National Anthem, took to the microphone, he sang the opening notes of the song. But soon after, Rancourt stopped singing, and allowed the crowd to take over, providing a moment that will last a lifetime for sports fans…

Bruins Forward Congratulates Alma Mater on State Title Win

Boston Bruins forward Jay Pandolfo, a 1992 Burlington High School graduate, said he was excited to see his alma mater win a second straight Division 1 championship.

Jay Pandolfo is hoping to help the Boston Bruins on a Stanley Cup this season. But in the meantime, the Burlington High School graduate is excited to know his alma mater has already hoisted a trophy of its own. Pandolfo, a 1992 BHS gradaute and current Bruins forward, said after a recent practice session in Wilmington that he was glad to see that the Red Devils were able to polish off a second straight Division 1 state championship when they recently toppled Marshfield at TD Garden. BHS Alum Signed by the Boston/Providence Bruins

Jay Pandolfo, of Burlington, has been signed to the Bruins for one year.

A former Burlington High Schools student and hockey players has been signed with the Boston Bruins. Boston.com reported on Tuesday that Jay Pandolfo, of Burlington, was signed with the Bruins for a one year contract. The contract is a "two-way deal," meaning Pandolfo will be payed $600,000 while playing for the Boston Bruins and $350,000 if he plays with the seed team the Providence Bruins. According to his Wikipedia page, Pandolfo was born in Winchester and grew up in Burlington. He played for the BHS Red Devils and graduated in with the Class of 1992. He was also a member of the Burlington Hockey and Skating Association's Massachusetts 1998 state champion team for the Bantam age group. That team placed fifth in the US National tournament…

When Will The Boston Bruins Season Start?

The Boston Bruins will play their first the TD Garden in Boston.

The Boston Bruins will begin their truncated season on Jan. 19 against the New York Rangers at the TD Garden rink in Boston, according to the Boston Globe.  The game, which will like begin at 7 p.m. marks the start of what will be a 48-game season after the National Hockey League Player's Association recently reached an agreement with league owners. On Jan. 6, the NHLPA reached an agreement with owners to end the 113-day lockout, according to the Globe.   Where to watch in the Burlington area: There are a number of local places to catch the game. How Did You Celebrate the Bruins' Stanley Cup Victory?

Fans across the Commonwealth are celebrating the Bruins. Send us pics of your Bruins pride.

It's a good bet that fans across Massachusetts and much of New England were a little groggy this morning following last night's Bruins victory over the Vancouver Canucks. The 4-0 win in game 7 marked the first time the Bruins took the Stanley Cup since 1972, when Bobby Orr was still in his prime.  The celebrations have continued today and will extend through the weekend. Boston Mayor Tom Menino announced Thursday morning the parade to honor the Stanley Cup champions will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. The duck boat rolling rally will start at TD Garden and end at Copley Plaza. Where to Watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Tonight

The Boston Bruins will play for the Stanley Cup championship tonight. Where will you be watching?

Tonight will be a historic night for either the Boston Bruins or the Vancouver Canucks. Either the Bruins will win their first Stanley Cup championship in 39 years, or the Canucks will win their first ever.  We here at Burlington Patch are firmly in the Bruins corner. We'll probably take in the game from our couch, but here are some other ideas of where in and around Burlington you can catch the game!
