Dear Editor, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Burlington voters who took the time on a beautiful Saturday to vote in our local election. I am honored to be elected to Burlington’s Planning Board and I promise that I will work hard to represent the residents of Burlington with integrity. I look forward to working with the other members of the Planning Board including the newly elected Jack Kelly whose vast experience will surely benefit the good citizens of Burlington. Dear Editor: On March 28, I was driving home on the Middlesex Turnpike at 5:30 p.m. For 40 minutes, I sat in traffic trying to get past the Market Basket Plaza. I made it to the entrance of the Bed Bath and Beyond and my low gas warning light came on. There was a sea of cars in front of me and behind. I was stuck and sat there for what seemed an eternity. Two blocks to go until the next gas station. It is times like that when I wonder who agreed to all of these stores and restaurants in one stretch of road? Was any thought given to the traffic situation? Had anyone thought of the impact on residents who just want to get home? The following is a letter to the editor: There are a number of people with young families and the commitments associated with providing for and schooling our next generation who nevertheless make the time to participate in community government affairs to our collective benefit. Barbara L’Heureux is such a person. She has repeatedly demonstrated a strong interest in guiding our community towards smart development and prudent allocation of Town resources for necessary government services.
