Fundraiser for K-9 Havoc Swat Bulletproof Vest Tonight

Anthony David Salon, 120 Cambridge St., is having an evening of art and photography to raise funds for this important cause.

The following is a release from Anthony David Salon: Due to his specialized tactical work, k-9 Havoc requires a K9 Storm bullet/stab-proof K9 vest. What:  Come meet K-9 Havoc and enjoy an evening of art and photography by Anthony Vitale and Nicole Vecchi, to benefit Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog, Inc. an independent, all-volunteer, non-profit organization, that Supports Massachusetts Police Dogs by helping provide essential equipment, especially bulletproof K9 vests. What started as a pastime for Sandra Satz has turned into a profitable business. She started painting years ago at night after her child was finally off to sleep — an enjoyable hobby she has since grown into a business. What differentiates Satz’s work from some other artists is that she paints functional and decorative objects and not on canvas. She likes art to have a further purpose, and that is, in fact, her slogan, “Art with a function”. Satz wanted to sell her work but at the same time didn’t want to part with it. The solution is the Giclée printing method. Giclée is a French word meaning "sprayed ink." It produces high-quality printed artwork with good color accuracy. Local Artists Find Home for Works in Area Clinic

Dr. Seema Gupta, who recently opened an adult internal medicine practice at the Emerson Medical at Bedford facility located at 41-55 North Road, has transformed the hall and waiting room of her practice into a gallery featuring the works of local artists.

Let’s face it, sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office is not something many people find to be an interesting experience.  With the normal out-of-date magazines and generic decorations, it is certainly not an opportunity to take in a little culture and art. Dr. Seema Gupta has changed all that in her new clinic. In October she brought her adult internal medicine practice to the Emerson Medical at Bedford facility located at 41-55 North Road and shortly after getting her equipment set up decided to do something unique with the walls.
