A New York man was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after police found a semi-automatic handgun that reports said he used to threaten a woman.
Burlington Police made an early-morning arrest today after receiving reports of a man with a gun at local hotel. According to a release from the Burlington Police Department, on Wednesday Feb. 20, at approximately 1:40 a.m. members of the the Burlington Police Department responded to a report of a man with a gun at the Hyatt House, 2 Van De Graff Drive. The initial report indicated the man had threatened a woman with the gun inside a room at the hotel and was now in the hallway. Officers located and questioned Luis Pinder of New York, N.Y. who denied any knowledge of a gun. However, after interviewing witnesses, the Burlington K-9 responded to perform a search of the area. Police have made an arrest in connection to last night's robbery of the Bank of America in the Burlington Mall. As reported on Patch, at approximately 4:40pm, on Thursday, Oct. 18, the Burlington Police Department received a phone call indicating that a robbery just occurred at the Bank of America in the Burlington Mall. A sergeant with the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department was found guilty Wednesday on charges that he received money and cocaine from an undercover state trooper, according to a press release from the Middlesex County District Attorney's office. Michael Dell'Isola, 52, of Somerville, was found guilty after a six-day jury trial in Middlesex Superior Court, the press release says. According to a statement from Middlesex County District Attorney Gerard Leone, "This defendant abused his position of authority by participating in illegal drug activities while on duty as a sergeant in the Middlesex Sheriff's Department." The Burlington Police Department launched an online investigation of alleged sexual enticement of a child that yielded an arrest of a man who worked at a Burlington business.
The Burlington Police Department arrested a Brighton man on charges of enticing a minor under 16 years of age over the internet. According to a release from the Burlington Police, the department has been conducting an on-going investigation involving the alleged sexual enticement of a child. This investigation was initiated by Officer Robert Aloisi, Jr., the department’s cyber crime investigator, who posed on the internet as a child under the age of 16. Officer Aloisi received assistance from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Cyber Protection Unit and this cooperative effort led to the issuance of two search warrants. The man was a fugitive from justice out of Belmont
Nashua Patch, covering Nashua, New Hampshire, reported yesterday that Nashua police arrested a Burlington man who was wanted on a warrant for alleged cocaine trafficking. Police said Derek Sacca, 28, of Burlington, was arrested Aug. 1. According to the Nashua Telegraph, a records check confirmed Sacca had an outstanding warrant out of Belmont, Mass., for cocaine trafficking. He was also charged with possession of a narcotic drug – cocaine – a class B felony, police said. Sacca was being held late last week at the police station pending arraignment and extradition to Massachusetts.

Burlington Police Officer David Outerbridge found the narcotics, worth roughly $6,000 on the streets, following a motor vehicle stop on Winn Street.
The Burlington Police Department announced yesterday that officers have taken roughly two pounds of marijuana off the streets. According to Burlington Police, on the early morning of Tuesday, Jan. 31, at approximately 12:50 a.m. Officer David Outerbridge of the Burlington Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop of a gray 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Winn Street, in the area of Marshall Simonds Middle School and the Memorial Elementary School. During the search, Outerbridge became suspicious and began a search and investigation of the vehicle and its occupants.
