Teen LIGHT (Leaders Inspired to Give Hope to Teens), a student-based group at Marshall Simonds Middle School, is a ground-breaking community service program that develops young leaders and encourages students to transform the lives of struggling teens.
Hundreds of eighth grade students at Marshall Simonds Middle School held their third annual 5K walk-a-thon on June 4. The walk began on the Burlington common and was followed with activities and performances by student groups. Proceeds from this year's walk will be used to fund various educational events with the goal of ending bullying and promoting student connection, teamwork, and peer sensitivity.
