The following is a release from Lahey Clinic: Lahey Clinic’s Annual Cancer Walk & 5K Run will take place rain or shine on Saturday morning, June 2. Registration for the run begins at 7 a.m. and registration for the walk begins at 8 a.m. The events, held simultaneously on the Burlington and Peabody campuses, are open to all and raise funds to enhance Lahey’s cancer services in both locations. Thank you for leaving pets at home. Inspired by the realization that there are a million reasons to walk because cancer impacts us all, the event celebrates its seventh year in Burlington and third in Peabody. The following is a release from MSMS's group Teen LIGHT: Hundreds of 8th graders from the Marshall Simonds Middle School have made it their mission to help teens with serious illnesses such as cancer. They will hold their fourth annual Teen LIGHT walk-a-thon on June 2. The 5k run/walk will begin on the Burlington town common and include activities following the 5K. The teens added the option to run the 5K this year to attract runners to the event. Proceeds will benefit Camp Sunshine, Christopher’s Haven, and Dana-Farber Jimmy Fund. On-site registration will take place at 9:00 a.m. on the common.
