Burlington 2013 Town Election - Who's in the Running?

A look at who has filed papers to be candidates in the April election.

Burlington's annual town election is coming up in April and candidates have begun to file papers to be in the running. The 2013 Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 6. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Burlington High School. There are a variety of open seats, including two spots for the Burlington Board of Selectmen, two for the School Committee and one for the Planning Board. The first candidate that jumps out when looking at the list is for Town Meeting Moderator. Former 21st Middlesex State Rep. Charles Murphy is as of right now the only candidate to file papers for the spot. Current moderator Phillip Gallagher has taken out papers for one of the two spots on the Library Board of Trustees.
