Harry, "All of the Demoulas men are very wealthy". If this is so, I do not understand whyRead More would employees earning about 12 - 30$/hr are risking their jobs for either of them?. CEOs getting fired is not a new concept.

This is a privately owned company. I wouldn't want my employees trying to tell me how to run myRead More company. Even if I were making a mistake it is my mistake to make. The people who own this company made a business decision that they had every right to make. How is this in any involving politicians?
Ray July 22, 2014 at 12:25 am
I can understand why the employees are doing what they are doing and I will not stand in the way.Read More But what I need to get off my chest is that tonight while at work, I was listening to a guy telling my co worker that Arthur Demoulas was fired for stealing over 26 million dollars from his family. While my blood was boiling over I had to walk away and complained to my coworkers manager who then pulled the coworker away from this guy. So your thinking who was this guy making the comments, he works for a company who was hired by market Baskets corporate office to replace the employees who walked away. This looser has no right to come in and start making comments he knows nothing about. This company brought in close to 80 plus replacements to drive and work the warehouses. Sad part is this looser will be here for at least two weeks and I can not say anything to him about keeping his mouth shut or I could lose my job...what I will say is they are all staying at local hotels in the area!

Christian Noel does not know Arthur T DeMoulas, no boss gets this kind of respect from employees forRead More no reason.
Faye Deault July 20, 2014 at 10:26 pm
Arthur T, step aside, like a true businessman would.

What we have is the TRUTH, Rob, of events that happened nearly ten years ago now.. and some moronRead More shill (you) claiming without any sort of basis that the reality is otherwise. Please Rob, explain YOUR iron in this fire? You have NONE of the facts, yet you feel okay in implying I am being dishonest. I am NOT the only person Fidelity has done similar things to. So tell us, Rob, What is your purpose in claiming what happened is anything but the fact?
Rob C July 16, 2014 at 04:58 pm
Again, I just have your say as to the situation. From the sounds of it a competent attorney wouldRead More have won your case or the AG's office would have done it for free. Since neither of those happened and you appear to be so sure that you should have won, then I have to doubt your story. The internet is full of disgruntled ex employees that will say anything to put down a past employer. For all I know you could be one of those that recently had a job sent to another state and you didn't want to move so you are now out of work. Enjoy your campaign to put down your former employer.
Paul Bishop July 16, 2014 at 11:35 pm
You sir are an ass. You haven't the first idea of the situation, nor do you have the first idea ofRead More employment law as pertains to the situation. All you have is what appears to be a need to whine, when all I did was relate the facts of the events. I unfortunately had to live them, and the reality is that the public at large (SocSec) has to foot the bill. There is no disputing I am disabled, nor is there any dispute that I became disabled while employed by Fidelity, by a disability which was covered under my policy. Unfortunately, I discovered that if an employer is willing to act in this way, they actually can (and unfortunately DID) throw me to the wolves. Why this is such a problem for you to grasp is beyond comprehension.

That's good. Malls like the Burlington Mall have to diversify in order to survive. Suburban mallsRead More are dropping like flies in the age of Amazon and other online retail. It wouldn't be surprising if at least half of the suburban malls in the Boston area close within the next ten years. What they need to do is offer items and services that can't be easily found or aren't practical to buy online and make the visit an experience (that's where Newbury fits in here). The next thing they should do is diversify land use over there (as is being done at NEEP), offer more restaurants, grocery and specialty food stores, build some residential buildings and hotels and other attractions, all within walking distance to the Mall. Burlington should be looking at Glendale, California and the area around the Glendale Galleria as a good example of this.

Uhhhhhhhh, micheals has been in Burlington for many years. Is this a new location or remodeled oldRead More location?
Cheryl Fantasia July 10, 2014 at 07:34 am
New location - same plaza - going in beside Roche Bros. where shoe store was.

Question is: What is going into the store they now occupy?

If the industry does it, that's fine. When the government dictates it, that's not fine.

Simple solution: Don't eat this food!, it's horrible what it does to your body!
cardiclash July 2, 2014 at 02:08 pm
If you dont like the sodium/fat/ calorie content in foods then don't eat them. It is totally yourRead More choice. People should also abstain from smoking nasty cigarettes as they cause an array of severe health concerns. What they do to your body is just as bad as crappy food!

Who is Katy Perry? Is she a soccer player?

Thanks, Susan, I was being facetious because I've never heard her sing, that I know of and thinkRead More most of us could care less. Why can't today's generation come up with a new Beatles? Oh, that's right, they would have to know how to sing and compose and produce great music and shape a good image!

I thought whole foods only sold meat that was treated humanely and sung lullabies until they getRead More chopped into little pieces and eaten?
Gretchen Robinson June 13, 2014 at 01:11 pm
this happens because of the disgusting things that are fed to cows these days as 'feed'--if you feedRead More animals the remaining byproducts after taking the meat, what do you expect? you don't feed cows the ground up bone of their own kind!!! That's just common sense!
Gretchen Robinson June 13, 2014 at 01:15 pm
a cursory look led me to this:Read More http://www.intellihub.com/cows-eat-what-6-surprising-things-fed-to-us-cows/ I've long heard that feed cows get fed the feces laden litter from the bottom of the cages. That's disgusting. If "you are what you eat, includes humans, second hand, then we're messed up. This is almost as bad as the 'pink slime' ground beef scandal.
Amtrak plans to launch high-speed Wi-Fi service that will allow streaming media and downloading large files. Patch File Photo
Matt June 12, 2014 at 10:16 pm
The train travels at 150 mph. How much scenery do you think you will be able to enjoy at that speed?
Jack DeFina June 13, 2014 at 10:34 am
It's the Wi-Fi that's high-speed, not the trains. Apart from the Acela, that is. I ride theRead More corridor and elsewhere fairly frequently, and there is a lot to see - scenery, architecture, infrastructure, people living their lives, and the railroad. Sorry, but I find that more interesting than pixels on a screen.
MikeA June 13, 2014 at 10:48 am
The headline is extremely misleading. It should say "Amtrak wants to test high speed WiFi onRead More ten miles or track". It the train is going 150mph, that would be four minutes of high speed WiFi. LOL, I can see train riders getting enthused about the fast internet service on the train and then complaining for the rest of the trip that WiFi is broken. Haven't the airlines already figured this out? It's past the time to sell money-losing Amtrak.
