Go Sledding on the 'Monster Sled' at Fenway Park

A unique place to go sledding this weekend.

Looking for a place to go sledding this weekend? How about home of the Boston Red Sox Fenway Park.

Citi Frozen Fenway 2014, a 17-day ice event running from December 28 through January 13, will include a "Monster Sled,"a 20-foot high sledding tubing ramp, the event posting states

"The sled is the first of its kind at Fenway Park and will sit in the shadow of the ballpark's left field wall," the notice states. "The sled's 75-foot run features five separate paths and will end at the Red Sox bullpen. It will be constructed in partnership with StackBox Structures, a Scarborough, Maine, company that designs mobile structures using shipping containers and truss systems."

The "Monster Sled" will be available for hourly rentals for groups of up to 100 people. Sleds and tubes will be provided free of charge (patrons cannot bring their own). For more information on renting sledding time, please call 617-226-6791 or email events@redsox.com.

Citi cardmemebers have the exclusive opportunity to skate and sled on December 28 for the Citi Cardmember Skate. Citicardmembers can call 800-301-3327 to book ice and sledding time for only $20.
