Community Item Swap - Everything You Need to Know

Drop off items the next three weekend at Revive Community Church and pick up what you need for free on Sept. 7.

Have kids clothing, sporting equipment or other items clogging up your house? Donate it to a community swap and exchange your items for things you need.

The Revive Community Church, 111 Terrace Hall Avenue, is holding its second annual Burlington Crazy, huge Free Flea Marketthis September and is taking donations this Saturday.

Here's how it works. The church is holding a series of days where people can drop off items. These will be the next three Saturdays and Sunday (including Aug. 24 and Aug. 25) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There is a variety of items that can be donated. Some ideas are, household items, baby clothes, outerwear, sporting goods, games, toys, Please: NO broken, soiled items with missing pieces. No large appliances, or electronics unless boxed and new.  No tires or items that once contained flammables.

Then, on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. people are invited to peruse the items and select what they need. All items will be free.

"In tough financial times, it only seems logical to drop off  'nearly new 3 month old baby clothes,' then take home '6 month old baby clothes' or drop off 'size 4 nearly new soccer cleats' then take home 'size 5 soccer cleats,'" the announcement of the event states. "No one in our community should go without a winter coat, or warm pants, or miss an interview or a prom because they do not have the proper dress."
