Monday Essentials: Free Screening of 'Deliver Man,' History of Fenway
Five things to know about the week ahead.
Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:
1) Sunny but cool
Looks like a bright week ahead but one with some cold temperatures. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies this week. Temperatures will start in the low 40s on Monday and raise to the mid-50s by Wednesday. Thursday could be more comfortable with a high near 66 degrees but the temps will then drop to the low 50s, high 40s for Friday and the weekend.
2) Public meetings
The Board of Selectmen is meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The Planning Board is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. Click here for a list of all public meetings this week.
3) Free pre-screening of Delivery Man
AMC Cinema 10 is holding a complimentary screening of the new DreamWorks movie "Delivery Man." The screening is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and will feature a live satellite message from stars Vince Vaughn and Chris Pratt. Tickets are first come, first serve and registration is required. 4) History of Fenway Park
The Burlington Historical Society is holding a presentation features Saul Wisnia, author of the upcoming book "Miracle at Fenway", for a look at the history of Fenway Park. The event is at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Human Services Building, 61 Center Street.
5) Fall market
The Francis Wyman PTO is holding a Fall Marketplace featuring over 60 vendors from New England. Each vendor offers unique gifts such as jewelry, candles, glassware, apparel and more. Admission is free and there will also be raffles and a bake sale. The market is on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Francis Wyman Elementary
