Monday Essentials: Enjoy the Weather, Fill Out Your Census

Seasonably warm weather is expected this week.

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1. Seasonably warm weather: The frigid temperatures of last week are now just a memory. This week should see highs reaching into the 50s. Monday is expected to have highs in the upper 40s. Rain should arrive on Tuesday, but so will the 50s. The rest of the week looks to see highs around 40 with plenty of sunshine.

2. Survey part of census mailing: Have you received your census yet? Make sure to fill it out. This year includes five questions to help the Planning Department. Find out more here.

3. Burlington High Hockey Fundraiser: Burlington High School boys’ varsity hockey team will have a fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13 at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, 1 Center St. Fifteen percent of your purchase will go to boys’ hockey if you mention the team.

4. In case you missed it: Kevin James is bringing Paul Blart back to the big screen. Filming is scheduled to start in April. The big question remains: Will he return to the Burlington Mall for filming? Simon Malls has not heard from the filmmakers yet, but here’s hoping the former King of Queens comes back to town this spring.
