Monday Essentials: Community Group Meeting, Temple Open House

Five things to know about this upcoming week.

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1) Mixed bag weather-wise 

It looks like a regular New England week as far as weather goes, meaning it will be all over the map. According to the National Weather Service we can expect rain and thunderstorms on Monday and Wednesday. Other days will be partly cloudy until the end of the week when the sun will come out. Temperatures averaging around 80 degrees. 

2) Public health 

The Burlington Board of Health is meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Click here to check out the agenda

3) Temple open house 

Temple Shalom Emeth is holding an open house at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Come hear about their programs and meet Meet Rabbi Abramson, Dawn Sudenfield, the new religious school principal, and the staff, board and committee chairs. 

4) Lend a hand 

The community group "Help Me Help Someone" (HELPIS) is meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Burlington Public Library. According to the group "This organization will bring people in our community together to reach out and help those in need. Through simple act of kindness and generosity we will heal, uplift, inspire, and improve the lives of others."

5) Play bridge 

Enjoy playing bridge? Want to meet new people for a game? The Burlington Public Library is holding three bridge sessions this week. The first, which is "Duplicate Bridge," will be on Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The second is on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. The final one is on from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
