Updated: Support People Helping People With Capital Grille Raffle

Purchase a $20 raffle ticket to support the Burlington Food Pantry and earn a chance to win a free meal for six.

The following is a release from People Helping People Inc. and the :

People Helping People is selling tickets for a chance to win a $1,000 gift certificate for a dinner at the in Burlington (certain conditions apply).  The prize, which covers dinner for six, including wine, was donated by Burlington resident David Icken, Managing Partner of the Capital Grille at 10 Wayside Road in Burlington.

The proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing Holiday Dinners for the families of the Food Pantry in December.

Raffle tickets are $20 each and tickets can be purchased through Janet Sullivan Fitzgerald, 6 Rita Ave., Burlington or Randy Nowell, 7 Greenwood Road, Burlington.  All you need to do is send a check for $20 per ticket made out to People Helping People and mail to Janet or Randy.  They will forward you the ticket upon receipt of the check.

The raffle winner will be drawn on September 19 during the annual “Taste of Burlington” event. Tickets will be sold through Sept. 18.

This is a great way to enjoy a wonderful dinner and help residents in need in the community of Burlington. Tickets will also be sold at Taste of Burlington.

People Helping People is grateful to David Icken of Capital Grille and Deb and Doug Place of the Printing Place in Burlington, whose generous support was instrumental to this fundraising effort.

Burlington’s People Helping People is a non-profit, primarily volunteer-driven emergency assistance organization comprised of the Burlington Food Pantry, the Covenant for Basic Needs and the Holiday Wish Tree.
