Community Youth Orchestras Delights Lahey Visitors
The Community Youth Orchestras, made up of performers from around the area, presented a concert in the lobby of Lahey Clinic.
Patients, guests and health care workers at Lahey Clinic were treated to a special treat in the hospital's lobby this Monday.
On January 16, the Community Youth Orchestras performed an abbreviated concert in the main lobby of Burlington's . Staff, patients and visitors alike enjoyed the beautiful music performed by the young musicians. The advanced string orchestras are comprised of highly motivated high school musicians, performing advanced level repertoire of various styles.
The orchestra's mission is to provide music through community service. CYO offers its members the opportunity to share their passion of music with others by performing in hospitals, senior citizen centers and residences.

CYO selects students by audition from the following towns: Acton, Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Boston, Boxborough, Brookline, Cambridge, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Medford, Needham, Somerville, Waltham, Weston, Winchester and Woburn.
