Café Escadrille To Hold Wine Tasting Fundraiser for People Helping People

Purchase tickets for $40 to support the Burlington Food Pantry, the Holiday Wish Tree and all the People Helping People programs.

is very pleased to announce that the Bob Murray & the will be hosting a Wine Tasting, Raffle and Charity Auction with all proceeds going to support People Helping People.

The event will be held at the Café Escadrille on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.  There will be wine tasting, appetizers, raffles and auctions.  All this for just $40.00

Stephane Colinet, Manager, Wine Director of the Café Escadrille will be coordinating the Wine Tasting.  Stephane Colinet might be a familiar name to you as he is seen bi-weekly on the T.V. Diner show with Bob Costa for his “Perfect Pairing” segments.

People Helping People is the umbrella organization for the Burlington fFood Pantry, the and the Covenant for Basic Needs. These three non-profit and volunteer-supported organizations are striving to meet the basic necessities of Burlington residents who have been hit hardest by the economic downturn.  In 2011 the distributed over 100,000 pounds of food to families in Burlington.  This past Christmas the Wish Tree gave out gifts to 150 children in Burlington.  In November over 180 families in town were provided Thanksgiving dinners.  An average of 273 people receiving monthly support from the Food Pantry.

The money raised at this event will help us continue to meet these needs in 2012.

We are hoping that this will be a real community event with many residents and organizations in the town supporting our major fundraiser.  Please consider attending.
