Red Devils Ready for Final Regular Season Week

There are just two games on the docket for Burlington this week, which is the final week of the regular season.

It's a slow week for Burlington sports. But for the Red Devils, it's the calm before the storm.

This week is the final one of the regular season, with the postseason kicking off next week for multiple BHS teams.

On Monday, the girls hockey team hosts Masconomet at 8:15 p.m., looking to improve up its postseason position. The team, led by veteran players like Sarah Walsh, clinched a playoff berth for the first time in program history.

The only other game this week is played by the boys basketball team. The Red Devils, who are also postseason bound, travel to face New Bedford at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

In their last game, the Red Devils escaped with an overtime victory over Wilmington. That, however, wasn't the story line. The storyline was that senior Shane Farley poured home a school record 50 points during the game.
