The free event is for players in groups U8, U10, U12 and U14 leagues.

The following is a notice from Burlington High School Soccer Coaches Matt Jackling and was posted on Burlington High Principal's blog

Burlington High School Soccer Coaches Matt Jackling and Caitlyn Germain along with the varsity soccer teams are happy to announce their first ever running of Varsity Day at Burlington High School on Sunday September 15, from 1:00-5:00.

Varsity Day is a community outreach event that looks to create a relationship of mentoring and role modeling between our varsity soccer players and the youth soccer program in Burlington. At this event, varsity players will coach and train youth soccer players, incorporating fun, skilled based training with the goal of providing positive support and reinforcing the ideal (for both the players, the children, and the parents/coaches involved) that our high school athletes are role models to the children in our community.

The event is free for all children, with the U8 and U10 age groups attending from 1 to 3 p.m., and the U12 and U14 players attending from 3 to 5 p.m.  The event will occur at Varsity Field at BHS.  There will be competitions, give aways, and other events to insure that the day is fun and educational.
