Aly Raisman Joins 2013 'Dancing with the Stars' Cast

Local Olympian joining the cast of ABC's popular dancing show.

 

Speculation has been confirmed: ABC announced Wednesday that Aly Raisman will be "Dancing with the Stars" (DWTS) this season. 

Earlier this week, rumors started to swirl that the 18-year-old Needham native would be on the popular dancing contest this season The line-up was announced on "Good Morning America" and on the DWTS website.

Raisman, who earned two gold medals at the London 2012 Olympics, tranied at the Brestyan’s American Gymnastics Club in Burlington.

Other celebrities cutting up the rug this season include singer Wynona Judd and actors Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley. She will dance with professional dancer Mark Ballas.

Among the accomplishments listed on her bio page, her gold medal wins, being named , presenting at the annual Video Music Awards and winning a We Got Game award from Cartoon Network's "Hall of Game" along with her fellow 2012 Olympians.
