The sun was shining Sunday on Burlington High School's Varsity Field last Sunday for a perfect day for a Graduation Ceremony.
Hundreds of family members, friends, teachers and supporters cheered as the Class of 2012 entered the field, the young men dressed in red and the ladies in white, as the Burlington band played the traditional graduation tune Pomp and Circumstance.
The stands were not the only thing filled on Varsity Field that afternoon with friends, and family. In front of them were 234 students on the field for a reception that would close students grade school books to open a new chapter in their lives.
After Zaven Ovian sung the Star Spangled Banner that the BHS Marching Band performed directed by Matthew Lovell; a number of people spoke at commencement before the moment of graduating at graduation took place.
