BHS Guidance: College Event Cancelled

The Guidance department is also letting seniors applying for Early Action that the application deadlines may have changed.

The Burlington High School Guidance Department alerted students in a blog post yesterday that the college fair scheduled for today has been cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.

The college fair was to be held at the Shriners' Auditorium in Wilmington.

The Guidance Department also had a message for seniors applying to college under the Early Action program.

"In response to Hurricane Sandy, several member colleges are extending their November 1 early deadlines," the department posted. "For the most accurate information, please check individual college websites, social media pages and your email as many member colleges have sent emails to applicants with the most up-to-date information and instructions. We continue to monitor the storm and its aftereffects closely and will communicate any new information as necessary."
